Simple, easy-to-construct fiber-optic pH sensors based on commercial non-bleeding pH strips were developed. The response of these sensors was monitored through the reflectance of the indicator strips at 540 nm. The sensors exhibited a linear behavior at the pH ranges of 5.0-6.6 and at 7.0-9.0. The response was highly reproducible, reversible and stable.Downloads
