The structure of 1 was elucidated by extensive 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy. Compound 1 exhibited antibacterial activity against E. coli, P. aeruginosa, S. aureus, and B. subtilis with activity indices (AI) of 0.2, 0.3, 0.5, and 0.4, respectively. It also showed antifungal activity against C. albicans and T. mentagropytes with AI of 0.2 and 0.3, respectively. It was inactive against A. niger.}, number={1}, journal={KIMIKA}, author={Ragasa, Consolacion Y. and Alimboyoguen, Agnes B. and Rideout, John A.}, year={2010}, month={Mar.}, pages={50–54} }
