Abstract

Chemical investigation of the skin extract of an Arminacean nudibranch sp. resulted in the isolation of the oxysterol, 5α,8α--epidioxyxholest-6-en-3α-ol (1). The structure of 1 was established by extensive spectral data. 5α,8α-epidioxycholest-6-en-3α-ol had been reported to inhibit the activity of phospholipase A2 [1].
