Abstract

Gemdimorpholino bisamides (1) were found to cyclize in acetic acid to 4-imidazolidinones (2). Thus, the bisamides (Nm2CHCONH)2CHR (1) where R = phenyl, p-methylphenyl, p-chlorophenyl, p-N,N-dimethylaminophenyl and Nm = morpholino, were transformed respectively to their respective derivative of 4-imidazolidinone (2).
