Abstract

4,5-Diamino-2-chloropyrimidine was used as the starting material for the preparation of 5-chloro[1 ,2,5] thiadiazolo [3,4-d] pyrimidine. The 5-Chloro derivative was allowed to react with piperidine, glycine, phenylalanine, proline and phenol. All the compounds studied showed medium to low relative fluorescence intensity in various solvents as compared to quinine sulphate.
